Regulatory Reporting Job Description:

Responsible for the preparation of all regulatory reports for the different branches within the investment bank, and submission to regulatory agencies. This would include the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Also responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the client’s regulatory reporting computer software which would include exception monitoring and ensuring that the data provided is complete and accurate.   This position would also require a good working relationship with the regulatory agency contacts with whom the client would support for any audits or questions.  In addition, the position would require a close relationship with the software vendor contact as well as Operations and IT departments.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Reconciliation of regulatory reporting software balances to GL
  • Preparation and submission of weekly and quarterly Federal Reserve reports
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual reports for Cayman branch to Cayman Island Monetary Authority
  • Preparation of NY State Banking Department reports
  • Preparation of Treasury International Capital (TIC) reports
  • Preparation of Department of Commerce reports
  • Regulatory reporting software daily exception monitoring
  • Lead role in integration of products and balances from source data systems into regulatory reporting software

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience with Federal Reserve Bank reports
  • 4+ years – with a minimum of one year experience in financial institution. Foreign bank experience helpful
  • Good understanding of US GAAP
  • Profound Microsoft Excel knowledge required
  • Strong written and oral communications
  • Strong teamwork ethic and organizational skills
  • Pro-active/result oriented work ethic
  • Experience in data bases and systems, Sofgen (IDOM) a plus
