Senior Portfolio Manager – Project Finance, Renewable Energy

 

Responsibilities:

Scope:

  • The Senior Portfolio Manager oversees the management of the assigned existing loan book, including the application process and closing of loan modifications, annual reviews and adhoc reportings.

 

Functions:

Credit Process/ Portfolio Review

  • Support new business by performing counterparty corporate credit analysis and providing a 'no objection statement' in the absence of the Local Head;
  • Participation in the New Deal Committee (if applicable);
  • Approve the transfer of deals;
  • Monitor the status of credit facilities in the Corporate Finance portfolio to minimize/control risk and reduce the potential for loss;
  • Ensure that credit reviews are completed and submitted to Head Office in a timely manner;
  • Maintain the credit files accurately and completely;
  • Monitor and manage the internal credit management systems, including preparation and updating of ratings according to internal guidelines;
  • Ongoing transaction coordination and maintenance of syndicated credits, including construction loan monitoring/ budget control, administrative agency and customer relationship;
  • Management/administration of distressed transactions (problem loans), work-outs and restructures, in cooperation with Restructuring and Workout, Erfurt;
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for each facility and Borrower;
  • Assist members in all matters related to credit assurance and portfolio management, or undertake other tasks as requested;
  • Monitor compliance with credit policy.

 

General Credit Administration/Reporting

  • Assure compliance with bank data system requirements, e.g. Customer Information System (MIDAS/ZDV), Collateral Management System (CMS), Global Limit System (GLS) and the Country Limit System (LRS);
  • Adhere to relevant compliance policies and procedures, including those for Operational Risk and BSA/AMLICIP programs;
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a computerized portfolio management system.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-7 years experience handling credit analysis for Renewable Energy (Solar, Wind, etc)
  • Experience with DCF (Discounted Cash Flow) Forecasting, Financial Modeling
  • Strong Credit Analysis skills and the ability to present findings to senior managers
  • International Banking experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team Player
