Job Description:

As a Regulatory Quality Assurance Consultant within the Regional Finance department, you will play a crucial role in validating and enhancing the integrity of regulatory reporting data. You will conduct independent reviews of regulatory filings to assess the effectiveness of existing procedures and controls in ensuring the accuracy of reports submitted to regulatory bodies. Collaborating with stakeholders in Finance and Global Business Services (GBS), you will identify areas for improvement in regulatory reporting.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality assurance reviews of regulatory reporting, with a primary focus on Federal Reserve Reporting.
• Analyze current regulatory reporting processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Identify weaknesses and gaps in regulatory reporting processes and work with process owners to develop remediation plans.
• Monitor and report on the progress of remediation efforts to senior management.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Finance and GBS to enhance internal controls within the region.
• Proactively manage and escalate emerging issues and threats to the control environment.
• Drive the implementation of best practices in control improvement initiatives among Finance and GBS teams.

 

Job Skills/Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in progressively responsible roles within a Finance/Audit function of a global bank.
• Strong knowledge of Federal Reserve reporting requirements.
• Managerial experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley regulations is advantageous.
• Excellent understanding of internal controls and the inherent risks and exposures associated with large complex financial organizations.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships with senior management, business heads, internal and external stakeholders, and peers.
• Strong analytical and technical skills focused on problem-solving and strategic thinking.

• Demonstrated business judgment and acumen regarding internal controls.
• Self-starter with a strong focus on professional development.

Academic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.
