Public Finance Credit Analyst Job Description:

Credit Risk Management is seeking a generalist analyst to assist in the management of the US public finance and structured products portfolios.  This position will focus on the organization and management of the data infrastructure of the portfolios.  The successful candidate will be expected to (1) enhance the current surveillance and monitoring of the portfolio by rationalizing and expanding the established databases; (2)  assist in the surveillance and monitoring of the portfolios through database management and quality assurance; (3) prepare regulatory reports and internal presentations on the portfolios and changes in the portfolios;  (4)  assist the specialist analysts in data sourcing; and (5) assist in the preparation of credit analyses and evaluations of the overall portfolios and individual investments within the portfolios.

 

Relevant Skill Base:

• Excellent computer skills with a proficiency in all standard software packages (Excel, Powerpoint, Word).  Knowledge of advanced software languages (i.e. Visual Basic) or specialty finance software (DBC, Intex, Trepp) would be a plus;
• Working knowledge of basic finance;
• Good verbal and written communications skills

 

Education & Experience:

• Minimum Bachelors Degree or equivalent, preferably with a concentration in business, finance or mathematics;
