The Horizon Group is searching for a Portfolio Management Analyst for a private investment management firm in Manhattan, NY. With a strong capital base, our client provides financing solutions to middle market companies through their Private Credit team.
As a Portfolio Management Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and analyzing the private credit investments and portfolios. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to the growth and success of the firm.
Location and Compensation:
This position is based in Manhattan, NY, and the team primarily works at the Midtown office 3-4 days per week. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

- Maintain quarterly reports and internal database for our private credit investments and portfolios.
- Monitor and analyze investment performance, including risk and return metrics, portfolio allocation, and market trends.
- Collaborate with investment teams and portfolio managers to provide operational support, including trade execution and compliance monitoring.
- Identify potential operational challenges and process improvements, utilizing analytical skills to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of professional experience in investment operations, portfolio management, fund administration, banking, or related roles.
- Familiarity with private credit investments and fund structures preferred.
- Experience in analyzing investment performance and preparing reports and presentations.
- Exposure to non-traditional fixed income investments, such as private credit or structured credit, is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to think critically.
- Proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development.
