Financial Controller Job

 

Overall Purpose of the Role:

This is a new position that has been created to strengthen the management team within the US and also within the global Fin Con team.

Whilst this position has responsibility for the US Fin Con team of 12, the day to day management is performed by an established manager. Affording this position the opportunity to focus on the change agenda, both tactical and strategic.

Communication with stakeholders across different functions will be crucial to the success of this role.

 

Main Responsibilities:

We have a significant change agenda, both in terms of providing a strategic infrastructure as well as implementing an effective operating model. This role will have regional responsibility for delivering on both of these objectives. This will require coordination across regions and with other business areas.

On an RTB basis an oversight of the control environment will be required to support the existing team. These control cover: financial reporting for the business; monthly P&L; Balance Sheet; Regulatory Reporting and internal management reporting.

Education Standard:

(GCSE/A Level Degree etc) Degree

 

Additional Qualifications:

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

 

Experience/Background: 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within an Investment Bank having performed and managed a Financial Control team. An understanding of the regulatory environment and knowledge of the reporting requirements.

Excellent communication skills, nature leader with drive/ambition and ability to enact change.
Other Requirements:
Willingness to travel, some commuting between global locations will be required.
